Get to know the historic and beautiful Balboa Park with your fellow travelers and locals! This walking tour is hosted by Hostelling International USA (HI USA) and will begin at HI San Diego Downtown Hostel.

Enjoy a casual walk through the heart of Balboa Park, one of the largest urban parks in the United States.
The current layout and design of the park was initially developed for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition.
Balboa Park is home to 16 museums, multiple performing arts venues, lovely gardens, trails and many other creative and recreational attractions, including the San Diego Zoo.
The tour starts at the hostel and our tour guide will lead everyone to the city bus to the take to Balboa Park. During the tour, guests will visit Cabrillo Bridge, Alcazar Garden, Palm Canyon, Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Botanical Building, Moreton Bay Fig Tree, Spanish Village Art Center, Desert Cactus Garden, Rose Garden and exteriors of the Old Globe Theater, Museums, International Cottages and Japanese Friendship Garden. Optional Lunch at end of tour. Our tour guide will direct everyone to the bus stop to return to hostel.
There will be restroom breaks along the way.
The tour is 3 hours long and approximately 3.5-4 miles total.

Bus fare is $2.50 each way, no change given on bus (you can ask for change at front desk prior to meeting for tour)
