Heroes on the water 1st annual veterans weekend battle on the bay!!!

Veterans, First Responders, Families & Friends!
Spend the day with us and some friends down at Shelter Island. This is a great opportunity for us to get together and heal through aquatic therapy, fishing and food. The Oceanside chapter will also have food and a bunch of booths and raffle gifts to give away. So, bring your family and friends and beach stuff and let's go and have some fun.
Just so you know, we will have all the gear that you will need to do any sort of kayak fishing on the water for the event that day. If you do not have any gear don't worry about it. Just show up with your family and get ready to have a good time.
Please RSVP and get your tickets!! This will also ensure your total count for your family goes to us to provide enough food for the event!! Can't wait to see you there!!!!!
Biggest bass: can be any type of bass, biggest halibut
Where: Shelter Island, San Diego Bay.
$10 is the entry fee that will be collected at the table when you arrive. Only if you are competing in the tournament. Good Luck!!!
Shotgun start at 7am on the 12th
Biggest bass and weirdest fish are the categories.
Fishing will end at 2pm winner will be announced at 3pm on Shelter Island. Raffle tickets will be $1 each (no limit), current raffle prizes consist of 2 custom saltwater rods, items from West Marine items from Purewater Sports, Fish Village, and their displays and many more!
Kids under 12 fish for free.

Boundaries are SD Bay; you are not allowed outside the mouth of the bay and150 ft around the bait barge is off limits.
You are allowed to fish from Kayaks or float tubes or solo skiffs or scouts.We give you a number that you will use for TourneyX scores.
