Santee, CA, May 15, 2013, 6:00pm PST: Whether it is a lifelong dream or a new career, becoming a firefighter is achievable for those who have a passion and the stamina. The competition is high, but only the most prepared candidates are chosen. The staff of Firefightermedic.com and EMSTA College have joined together for this unique opportunity to share their experience as Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Professionals with the community. This FREE seminar is offered to men and women interested in a career as an EMT, Firefighter and/or Paramedic. From high school seniors to those looking to change careers, this seminar will cover what is takes to succeed in this challenging and rewarding job market. Participants will explore the benefits and challenges of today’s fire service professionals, while receiving important information outlining the steps necessary to begin a career as a Firefighter Paramedic.
The keynote speakers, Rodney Geilenfeldt and Dave Hardenburger are both Captains with local Fire Departments in the East County and instructors in EMS training. Captain Hardenburger is the co-founder of firefightermedic.com, San Diego’s leading on-line resource to educational and career resources for the EMS professional in San Diego County. Captain Geilenfeldt has been teaching for more than 13 years and is the EMT Training Coordinator at EMSTA College. With more than 40 years of experience between them, Geilenfeldt and Hardenburger are experts in the best practices to succeeding as a Firefighter Medic and are dedicated to helping others achieve their goals.
